If You want to teach children something
meaningful, then you must be able to
KEEP THEIR ATTENTION!!!
We have yet to meet the child who wasn't very
excited about the notion of being able to bang
on a bunch of drums and make some noise!
We provide a very wide range of exotic drums and
other percussive instruments that the children find
completely fascinating and compelling (only a few
of which are shown above).
As a reward for paying attention during the other
portions of our program, the children are allowed
to select any instrument they want (in an order
that is determined by raffle), to play during the
final part of each course segment.
The children are taught simple rhythms that they
must play all together for them to work. They
are given the explanation and analogy that "By
getting along, and not fighting, we are able
to have a lot more fun together!!!"
The music also has two added advantages:
1] It builds a much greater rapport between the
students and the facilitator (the course instructor
is also playing along with the music).
2] It creates a dynamic in which the children
really look forward to their next learning session!!!
In short, the children are much more receptive
to the important information that is being shared.
THE CHILDREN REALLY LOVE THE MUSIC!!!
But don't take our word for it! Here's what
just a few of our participants have to say:
